Head - Machine Learning - BFSI

This candidate will be responsible for development and ownership of Machine Learning as a Horizontal Capabilities for company. Other than the solutioning using Machine Learning, this also includes collaborating with IT to set up the right infrastructure to deliver on real-time ML based customer insights

He / She should have a

- Strong technical background with good intuition about data

- Proficient in analyzing distribution of data.

- Proficient in "Data Visualization & Communication" - It is important to not just be familiar with the tools necessary to visualize data, but also the principles behind visually encoding data and communicating information.

- Good Familiarity and understanding of statistical models, machine learning techniques and algorithms.

- Ability to work with multiple technologies, especially in usage and deployment in Public / Private Cloud based; SaaS, PaaS and IaaS environments

- Experience in overseeing / managing enterprise-wide Analytics Infrastructure; Data Warehouse using Columnar databases with Statistical platforms like SAS/SPSS/R/Python

Required Skills and Qualification

10 - 15 years of work experience in Machine Learning & Analytics

Industry Exposure: Banking, Financial Services (Loan, or lending business)

- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.

- Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc. Excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable

- Great communication skills

- Experience with data visualization tools, such as D3.js, GGplot, etc.

- Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig

- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase

- Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.

- Good scripting and programming skills in Python, R etc.

- Data-oriented personality
