Legal Head

- The incumbent would be responsible for overseeing all the legal matters of he organization include real estate operations, providing expert legal advice, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

- The Incumbent plays a critical role in managing legal risks, protecting the company's interests, and supporting its growth and success in the real estate sector.

- The ideal candidate has a strong background in real estate law, extensive experience in the industry, and exceptional legal acumen.

Competencies & Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to executive management and the board of directors on all legal matters related to real estate operations, transactions, and investments.

- Oversee and manage a wide range of legal issues, including property acquisitions and dispositions, leasing agreements, construction contracts, zoning and land use, financing, and regulatory compliance.

- Review, draft, and negotiate complex real estate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and protecting the company's interests.

- Conduct due diligence on real estate transactions, including title searches, environmental assessments, and regulatory compliance checks.

- Stay updated with changes in real estate laws, regulations, and industry practices, and provide proactive advice and recommendations to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.

- Manage and coordinate external legal counsel engaged for specialized legal services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality legal representation.

- Oversee real estate-related litigation and disputes, working closely with external counsel and representing the company's interests in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.

- Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and enhance risk management in real estate operations.

- Collaborate with internal departments, such as finance, development, and property management, to address legal issues and support business initiatives.

- Conduct legal research and analysis on real estate matters, providing accurate and timely advice on legal issues and potential risks.

- Educate and train internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters relevant to real estate operations to enhance legal awareness across the organization.

Qualification & Experience: Should be a Law Graduate with 15 years of experience in the real estate nbfc industry and significant experience in real estate laws, regulations, and industry practices, including property acquisitions, leasing, construction, zoning, and land use, with leadership and management skills.
