Client Details: Globally reputed Pharmaceutical MNC Position: Legal head Reporting to: Area Counsel Team size: 8 Members Job Description: - This role is a senior-level position for lawyers in the Legal Division. Provides and manages legal services and resolves legal issues for assigned matters. - Supports clients in the achievement of business objectives by rendering sound legal advice and managing legal risks to the corporation. - Leads cross-functional projects. - Regularly negotiates independently with customers, suppliers, potential partners or government agencies on matters of strategic importance that affect a substantial portion of the business or areas of significant importance to senior management. - Advises Area Counsel on business management of critical projects in a timely manner. - Advises Division Vice Presidents and GMs. Recognized by these clients as both expert in substantive area and relied upon for individual advice. - Selects and directs the work of outside counsel, defines project objectives and manages project. - Manages legal department's internal and external country budgets. - Serves as a recognized resource for management and other attorneys on innovative ideas in highly complex areas of the law. - Assists the businesses with statutory compliance related matters, coordinating with various departments and ensuring compliance and due diligence - Collaborates with the ethics & compliance team for efficient and effective implementation of all policies which are in alignment with existing laws and internal policies - Supports the Regulatory team for all regulatory issues relating to FDA, Narcotics Control Board, FSSAI Profile: LLB / LLM from well-recognized University; ACS (with experience in Secretarial work) would be an added qualification Required Experience/Proficiency - Generally, 12+ years of relevant experience - Excellent in practice area with demonstrated leadership competencies. - Experience into Pharma Industry is mandatory.
