Description:  The Role:  The incumbent would report to the President & Company Secretary, handling a team of 4-5 individuals.   Key Responsibilities:  - To handle matters related to international & domestic corporate & commercial laws  - Transactional Advisory - Transaction structuring and related documentation  - To fund transactions - Debt & Equity funding related transaction and related documentation  - To negotiate & drafting of strategic and routine, contracts of all sorts  - Legal and due diligence, property related matters, statutory compliances  - To deal with lawyers / law firms representing the company in various forums & courts  - To draft and vetting legal documents  - To do legal research and give opinions  - To update relevant and applicable statutes, regulations and guidelines  - Manage statutory/internal auditors relating the legal function  - Liaison with advocates, solicitors and external counsels as and when required  - Handling day to day operational queries regarding standard documents of the Company  - Take part in pre-acquisition stage i.e. giving opinion on due diligence reports in legal & enforcement perspective  - Legal vetting of the agreements before execution  - Maintaining MIS for agreements executed by the Company  - Revising and modifying standard agreements and documents in line with business needs and policies  - Coordinating with the group companies for all legal matters  - All other matters which pertain to the Legal department  The Candidate:  - Graduate with LLB with minimum 8 - 12 years- experience in handling the legal matters in a financial institution   - Thorough understanding of the financial services business   - Excellent knowledge of corporate laws   - Exposure to practicing legal matters for a corporate shall be an added advantage
