Job Titile Head - Legal (Level- AVP/GM)

Job Description : Candidate should be qualified LLB with minimum 20 - 25 years of experience in Companies dealing in EPC, Infrastructure, Power etc. Experience of working in companies with international presence will be preferred.

Purpose of Position: The position is responsible for providing legal opinion and taking actions on various issues to protect the interest of the organization. To defend the company in case of legal cases. To handle all court cases filed by or against the company. To represent the company in case of litigation cases

Drafting EPC contracts, Agreement etc.

- To draft and review legal contracts and agreements involving the organization

- To provide legal opinion on legal content of contracts before formalization to ensure their legal validity

Litigation Management

- To handle arbitrations and other legal matters

- To receive and respond to legal notices

- To provide legal opinion on issues brought to reference by any department and any legal issues related to company

- Interacting with internal and external clients, co-ordinates with management on Company policies, and maintain the Groups conscience.

Regulatory Matters

- To ensure compliance with provisions of various laws governing and impacting the organization, including Insurance Laws, Laws of Contract, Property Laws, Consumer Laws, Intellectual Property Rights, etc

- To act as a nodal point between the company and regulatory bodies

- To review and undertake modifications in existing policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal framework

- Compliance Management (Regulatory)

- Ensuring that the organization complies with applicable Acts, Rules & Regulations.

- Scrutinizing and sketching various compliance policies.

- Managing compliance review from a regulatory compliance risk, reputational risk, financial risk and operational risk perspective in strengthening the regulatory compliance framework within the organization

- Formulate and manage the compliance calendar
