Currently hiring for Legal Head for an NBFC in Mumbai location  Product: Home Loan  Report to: Head Home Loan   Exp Required: 10-15 yrs  EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate/LLB/PGDBM/MBA  Job Purpose  Legal head for Affordable Housing loans business Should be able to manage legal officers & legal agencies and provide opinion on mortgage transactions and be the custodian of the legal policy.  Accountabilities   No. Key Accountabilities  1. Identify legal agencies and responsible for empanelment. Must monitor their report quality, TAT & cost aspect.  2. Ensure hiring of legal officers and training them to ensure quality & TAT is maintained.  3. Providing opinion to the Credit Underwriting Team / Management on the mortgage ability of the land/property in question and the nature of mortgage to be created to secure the proposed lending.   4. To provide legal clearance on the wholesale transactions including builder APF & construction finance.  5. Custodian of legal policy, drafting of legal policy to getting the same approved.  6. Identify & mitigate potential legal, compliance or business risks.  7. Proficiency in scrutinizing, inspecting and guiding in all commercial legal matters and documents.  8. Monitor controls & related documentation and provide oversight & governance for Risk Management procedures.
