Looking for Head- Legal for a Financial Holding company

Purpose of the Job :

To ensure that all the legal compliance is done for the company starting from drafting, vetting and finalizing the documents, managing legal cases, liaison with company appointed lawyers, give guidance on all the legal matters pertaining to the company.

Key responsibilities :

- Understanding of international & domestic corporate & commercial laws

- Transactional Advisory - Transaction structuring and related documentation

- Funding Transactions - debt & equity funding related transaction and related documentation

- Negotiations & drafting of strategic and routine, contracts of all sorts

- Legal and due diligence, property related matters, statutory compliance

- To deal with lawyers/ law firms representing the company in various forums & courts.

- Drafting and Vetting legal documents

- Legal research and giving opinions

- Updating of relevant and applicable statutes, regulations and guidelines

- Manage statutory/internal auditors relating the legal function

- Liaison with Advocates, solicitors and external counsels as and when required

- Handling day to day operational queries regarding standard documents of the Company

- Take part in pre-acquisition stage i.e. giving opinion on due diligence reports in legal & enforcement perspective

- Legal vetting of the agreements before execution

- Maintaining MIS for agreements executed by the Company

- Revising and modifying standard agreements and documents in line with business needs and policies.

- Coordinating with the group companies for all legal matters.

- All other matters which pertain to the Legal department.
