We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Learning and Development (L&D) Head to join our team in the retail sector. The L&D Head will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of our retail workforce.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute a strategic L&D roadmap aligned with the organization's business objectives and retail industry trends.

2. Conduct training needs analysis to identify gaps and develop targeted training programs for different roles within the retail sector, including sales, customer service, operations, and leadership.

3. Design and deliver engaging and interactive training modules using a variety of methodologies, including e-learning, workshops, simulations, and on-the-job training.

4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR, operations, and senior management, to ensure alignment of L&D initiatives with overall business goals and objectives.

5. Implement and manage a Learning Management System (LMS) to track training progress, manage training resources, and generate reports on training effectiveness.

6. Lead the development of leadership development programs for retail managers and supervisors, focusing on essential skills such as communication, coaching, and performance management.

7. Oversee the onboarding and induction process for new retail employees, ensuring a seamless and positive experience that supports their integration into the organization.

8. Manage compliance training programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards, including topics such as safety, ethics, and legal compliance.

9. Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of training programs, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to enhance L&D outcomes.

10. Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in L&D, retail management, and employee development, and incorporate innovative approaches into L&D strategies.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree or professional certification in L&D is a plus.

- Proven experience (14+ years) in a senior L&D role within the retail sector, with a track record of designing and implementing successful training programs.

- Strong understanding of retail industry dynamics, including sales processes, customer service standards, and operational challenges.

- Expertise in instructional design, training delivery, and adult learning principles, with experience in both traditional and digital learning methodologies.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of the organization.

- Experience managing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results within budget constraints.

- Passion for learning and development, with a focus on driving employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness in the retail sector.
