Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior technical/engineering leadership job, experience as a lead/head software engineer.
- Proven track record of rising through the ranks of a rapidly expanding technology firm
- Led a team of 20 or more engineers and technologists, and should have established teams in a variety of technology roles.
- Knowledge and experience in AI and Machine Learning-based Personalization and Recommendation
- Worked as part of a multi-functional team (Product Management, Design, Test, Operations, and Developers)
- Hands-on experience developing large-scale, high-availability production mobile app infrastructure
- Strong architectural principles knowledge for a fast-paced technology product
- Entrepreneurial scale experience (ex Tech Co-Founders / CTOs / CTO-1 level) is preferred.
- Ability to recruit technology talent from the startup ecosystem at the middle and junior levels
- Desire to construct a large-scale solution that will influence millions of people
- Strategize, Plan, and Execute AI and ML applications in Personalization and Recommendation with the business team
- Represent the organization in the media to share thought leadership around the Engineering capabilities of the company
- Develop and manage multi-year Product roadmap and strategy in collaboration with the Product partner in a multi-function team environment
- Represent the engineering team in product requirement negotiations, schedule creation, and budget management.
- Across the whole engineering team, create, improve, and drive operational excellence, quality, security, and privacy initiatives.
- Own the delivery of high-quality software on time, in partnership with product management, making decisions that combine business goals with technological restrictions. Provide staffing projections and participate in all hiring activity
- Represent engineering at the executive level and manage realistic stakeholder expectations
