About the Organisation:

One of the largest conglomerate within the Insurance sector.

Role:

Heading the IT Infrastructure and services teams of IT systems; shaping the IT strategy and ensuring the continuity of business operations.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure smooth running of IT operations

Manage a team of IT services and infrastructure professionals to keep the "lights on" of IT Infrastructure and services.

2. IT Landscape

Ensure compliance with specified norms & guidelines, and closure of gaps in order to ensure compliance of IT services and Audit requirements

3. Audits/Compliances

Ensure compliance with specified norms & guidelines, and closure of gaps in order to ensure compliance of IT services and Audit requirements

4. Data Centre Operations

Guide, review & support team; resolve issues; conduct monthly Dashboard & GAP Analysis; overlook system administration operations; manage escalations in order to ensure smooth DC operations & make available scalable & robust hardware

5. Zone IT Operations

Ensure & monitor process compliance & process improvement in order to setup IT infrastructure at zones

6. Network Management

Oversee proper management of LAN, WAN, Telecom & Network security; undertake trend analysis & supervise vendor selection in order to develop & sustain robust & scalable IT & telecom networks

7. Purchase

Recommend selection of technology; approve vendor selection; run Cost Benefits ikAnalysis; manage escalations & oversee technical & commercial negotiations in order to manage optimize IT purchase within budgets

8. IT Budgeting

Provide inputs for creation of overall IT budget & manage resources within allocated budgets, ensure that the cost of developing new applications & enhancements should be within the approved project costs in order to keep expenses within required budgetary limits

9. Information Security

Ensure compliance to information security guidelines & policies in order to ensure data & information security at the organisation

Desired Candidate:

15 + years of experience in IT. Must have held leadership roles, managed IT Services & Operations

Experience in strategic planning and execution

Excellent understanding of servers, networks, data centers and cloud technology

Must have managed budgets to the tune of 50 crores of IT Infrastructure and services

Proven leadership ability. Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously

Exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail

Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
