- Define and formalize standard operating practices for both systems administration and support inclusive of third-party teams. Minimize organizational seams and the risk of delayed response to critical incidents. This includes adherence to our IT general controls, business operations specific compliance requirements (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, NYDFS etc.) and strategic and tactical partnership with business units to support their operations. - Collaborate to build and manage a disaster recovery plan in support of an overall business continuity program. - Define and implement a consistent architecture and design methodology, including periodic health checks to confirm desired / acceptable performance and capacity of our systems. - Actively manage the lifecycle of our enterprise technology platforms and core services. Define roadmaps and update quarterly. - Improve the overall service quality for our diverse capability units (read business units) and measure/report outcomes using agreed upon metrics. Setup a framework to share support statistics (tickets resolved, response time, etc.) and obtain regular feedback from capability units, promptly act on the same and take them to logical closure. - Plan and define strategic roadmaps for infrastructure-related projects with the planned upgrade to recent technologies while maintaining security and continuity. - Support business team initiatives related to transitions, facility moves and expansions. - Support our broader Information Services team initiatives related to new applications and related implementations. - Manage and prioritize service requests in partnership with our global offices. - Actively contribute to the overall IT department strategy (long term strategic plan) and operating practices. - Build and maintain relationships with key service providers and partners that support the goals of the department. - Define the appropriate balance of internal resources vs. outsourced services. - Prepare and actively manage project cost estimates, schedule/timelines, and department budgets and forecasts. - Set up procedures and provide reports to the executive management on agreed-upon KPIs such as network uptime, vulnerability prevention, network performance etc. - Introduce a dedicated nerve system to watch every bit & bytes on the network systems to ensure less downtime & high availability of IT system & service - Create a credible asset management system to ensure reliable tracking of all IT assets. - Oversees the purchases & maintenance of IT assets globally using procuring/audit management practices with a clean approach with vendors. - For any infrastructure-related investment, the present business case to executive members along with options and recommendations - Global IT Infra budget ownership, prioritization and optimization - Motivate a high performance, innovative and results-driven team; this would involve hiring team members with right mindset and skills; encourage them for continuous performance improvement through feedback and provide them challenging opportunities Develop performance measurements and ensure these metrics are achieved.
