Role: Head IT - For a Health Insurance Leader (Part of Multi Billion Dollar Group)
Accountability :
- Provide strategic leadership for the development and sustenance of the overall IT processes in order to support the organizational goals.
- Initiate and guide the development of overall plans and direction for IT projects.
- Plan and prepare annual goals and monitor progress
- Actively participate in strategic business planning sessions of the Company and attend regular management meetings
- Evaluate the impact of technology and deploy strategic solutions from an existing and new business standpoint
- Define and Control the Key Metrics within the function- Headcount, Efficiency, Quality and ensure efficiency is improved whilst maintaining quality
- Ensure SLA compliance through quality checks
- Ensure project and other IT-related issues are raised on a timely basis and resolved at the appropriate levels.
- Provide consultation to the business on automation opportunities.
- Establish guidelines to deliver services provided by the Data Centre and Network Infrastructure according to the Service Level Agreements.
Instill a culture of technological transformation and innovation in order to provide cutting edge solutions and facilitate in building a differential brand entity for the organization :
- Provide impetus and create a platform to leverage on technological advancement
- Institutionalize and Benchmark best practices globally
- Drive and lead initiatives internally
Identify & manage IT related risks to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of operations, safeguarding of tangible or intangible assets, accuracy & integrity of data :
- Establish and implement a robust framework across all IT operations & systems
- Establish IT governance structures to ensure compliance to set IT policies, standards and procedures.
- Present these strategies before the Leadership team and ensure implementation of the suggestions given by the committee.
- Through consultative and collaborative approach lead the development of a framework with policies, processes, tools/ resources/ management and communications to communicate consistent risk categories & risk definitions for IT related Risks for various Functions.
Ensure on-time & within cost delivery of IT functionality :
- Negotiate and ensure cost inventories
- Ensure a mechanism for sustained delivery as per the company requirements
Provide inputs for Forecasting and Budgeting with respect to the IT team :
- Prepare and seek approval for the budget for the IT Function
- Actively seek cost efficiencies in order to ensure adherence to Budget
Ensure skill development and knowledge continuity for the IT section :
- Lead and develop management team
- Ensure performance, productivity and capacity utilization
- Direct layout of a formal employee training process.
- Facilitate leadership development and talent management
- Crystallize team roles and responsibilities.
