Head - IT/Application Development - Insurance Firm

The position is accountable for the end-to-end management of Technology support to the company, both application enablement including automation and appropriate infrastructure support, as a business driver.

- Ensure right technology at optimum cost for business to enable differentiated service

- Ensure completion of projects with no time or cost overrun through structured project governance

- Maximize technology support at optimum cost

- Ensure high level of process automation, reducing dependence on manual processes avoiding errors and rework

- Meet business change request to ensure early mover advantage

- Continuously scan the technology eco-system to identify new technology and proactively suggest initiatives to business adding value as true enabler.

- Ensure the Information which is the main asset of the company is adequately protected from both external and internal threats through implementation of security policies.

- Enhance technical skills of team to be aligned to the eco-system

- Ensure business continuity through proper and clear implementation of DR plans and policies.

Required Candidate profile :

-15 + years of experience, managing IT in a retail financial services environment.

- Experience in application development projects and infrastructure initiatives

- Sound understanding of Business Process Management is required.

- Working Knowledge on some of the emerging trends in Cloud, Data warehousing, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Mobile Technology and CRM is desirable.
