Head - International Sales - Developed Markets - Food & Beverage Industry (10-20 yrs)

Our client a leading name in the food and beverage industry is looking to bring on board a business development manager to build their business for their organization.

You would be responsible to make sure that the products are made available in the export markets by analyzing the trends of the customers and developing sales plans and strategies to meet their needs.

The incumbent would own organizational learning strategies in collaboration with the Director Exports, Exports Manager and cross-functional teams to assess capability needs of the organization.

Additional responsibilities include:

a) Ensure achievement of Business Plan for exports of the product lines in Markets.

b) Manage and grow business with existing importers-distributors

c) New Business Development:

- Take new categories to existing markets, and

- Add new markets by identifying and firming up new selling arrangements

- On-board new importer-distributors to conform to expected standards

d) Track and monitor primary and secondary sales and provide close support to the importer(s) and their sales force

e) Drive high quality of distribution - availability, visibility and freshness in assigned markets. Effectively deploy POSM as well as ensure execution of visibility and promotion campaigns for all brands in assigned geography.

f) For identified categories and brands - end to end responsibility for developing the export portfolio, developing/ adapting export packaging with country specific labelling as per local regulations/ requirements, devising launch plans, developing POSM, planning promotions and digital marketing campaigns

g) Coordination with the category production and finance teams for identified categories to ensure trials on any new variant, SKUs etc and to oversee the smooth execution of the first three shipment cycles of any new customer for the identified categories/ brands.

Required for the role:

- 10 years plus of experience Handling Export sales in FMCG industry

- Excellent distributor relationship management.

- Understanding of International Trade and Markets

- Network Management
