Key Responsibilities:

Hospitality Audit Strategy:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive internal audit plan tailored to the hospitality sector, considering the diverse operational areas within the industry (e.g., hotels, restaurants, entertainment venues).

- Identify key risk areas specific to hospitality, such as revenue integrity, guest experience, food safety, and regulatory compliance.

Operational Audits:

- Lead and manage a team of internal auditors to perform operational audits across different hospitality facilities.

- Conduct thorough audits of front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, and security.

- Assess operational processes, guest satisfaction measures, and compliance with brand standards.

Revenue and Expense Audits:

- Review revenue generation processes, including reservations, sales, and billing, to ensure accuracy and prevent potential revenue leakage.

- Audit expense management processes to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient resource allocation.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

- Ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations, such as health and safety standards, liquor licensing, and sanitation regulations.

- Monitor compliance with brand standards and corporate policies related to hospitality operations.

Risk Management:

- Identify and evaluate risks inherent to the hospitality industry, such as cybersecurity threats, reputational risks, and supply chain vulnerabilities.

- Collaborate with management to develop risk mitigation strategies and controls.

Stakeholder Communication:

- Present audit findings, recommendations, and reports to senior management, emphasizing the impact on guest experience, operational efficiency, and compliance.

- Maintain effective communication with department heads, general managers, and operational staff to address audit-related matters.

Technology and Data Analysis:

- Leverage technology tools and data analysis to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audits, especially in areas such as inventory management, pricing analysis, and guest feedback.

Talent Development:

- Recruit, train, and mentor audit team members with a focus on the hospitality industry's unique audit requirements.

- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CIA, CFE) is a plus.

- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in internal audit or related roles within the hospitality sector.

- Solid understanding of the unique challenges and operational dynamics of the hospitality industry.

- Familiarity with hospitality regulations, brand standards, and compliance requirements.

- Proficiency in using audit software, data analysis tools, and hospitality management systems.

- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a focus on translating audit insights into actionable improvements.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends.

- Ethical conduct and the ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality.

- Flexibility to travel as needed to different hospitality properties.
