Job Description - The client is looking for a person to lead the internal audit team for their wholesale lending business. The candidate will be directing the timely delivery of high-quality audit reports for the assigned portfolio, meeting board and regulatory requirements.

Description

Reporting to the Group Head of Internal Audit, you will be responsible for :

- Developing and executing audit plans in line with internal standards and relevant regulations

- Delivering high-quality audit reports, managing audit activities

- Managing teams and assurance delivery within a matrix reporting environment

- Recruiting, developing and building teams

- Partnering with senior leadership to develop approaches for addressing broader corporate issues

- Possessing a broad understanding of different IA standards, applying broad and comprehensive knowledge of high-risk areas

- Identifying solutions for audit issues, analyzing findings and recommending interventions

- Serving as lead reviewer for all types of reviews, reviewing and approving business monitoring quarterly summaries

Profile

You will be an experienced internal audit professional with 10-15 years of relevant experience, with significant experience in wholesale lending internal audits. You will have experience in end to end audit cycle management right from conceptualization and designing the scope of the audit to presenting the audit findings with relevant recommendations and corrective mechanisms.

Candidates with Internal audit experience in medium to large businesses, with relevant certifications such as CA/CIA, will be strongly preferred. Effective negotiation skills, proactive approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent views are qualities highly desired.
