Manufacturing Units spread across all over India, total Business Over approx 6500 CR+   Education Background : Any Graduate, PG Degree is advantage (LLB, CA, MBA and ICWAI etc)   Work Experience : Minimum 15 Yrs+  CTC : 70 LPA to 1 CR  Industry : FMCG is MUST (Worked in Past / Prior experience in FMCG will also do) Current or Prior experience in FMCG is Mandatory.   Job Profile :  - Leading the design, development and implementation of the company's indirect tax strategies including work on tax optimization on on ongoing basis.  - Manage all indirect Tax matters including Sales Tax, VAT, GST, Service tax, Central Excise and Customs. Prepare and maintain a complete and accurate tax calendar, reviewing tax returns and remittance of estimated tax payments ensuring compliance with transfer pricing regulations.  - To ensure all the changes in Law, Acts, Notification and circular under Customs, Central Excise, Service Tax, VAT to be implemented as and when it comes  - Initiate tax planning and strategies; setting up systems and policies /procedures to facilitate central control over taxation issues.  - Strategic tax planning  - Develop the indirect tax/ vat frameworks for the business  - Mitigate tax risks  - Handling Litigation in Indirect Tax.  - Conclude litigation by providing financial data, information and factual background of matters. Draft cases for opinion, meeting with Senior tax counsels to file tax appeals. Ensure timely preparation of replies to queries raised by authorities.  - Play a key role in completion if tax and statutory audits, assessments and investigations by the authorities, responds to queries raised by tax authorities, manages disputes and represents company in hearings with authorities. Troubleshoot issues for prompt resolution and communicate and escalate as appropriate.  - Handle litigation at all stages from Assessment level to Supreme Court effectively.  - Draft replies to notices, appeals and written submissions and file appeal/writs before Appellate Authorities, Tribunal, High Court & Supreme Court.   - Prepare for the cases and brief Senior Counsels. Track and maintain database of litigation status of all pending cases and advise on contingent liabilities.   - Pro-active in identifying tax risks and quick in resolution and develop appropriate internal controls to ensure statutory compliance under various indirect tax laws.  - Active involvement in GST implementation in the company.
