Head - HR (Only from top B schools like XLRI / IIMs etc.)

An exciting opportunity as Head - HR in an organization that is set to grow multiple folds in the next few years.

Reporting to the CEO, you will provide HR leadership by advising and partnering with business leaders through the organization, implement policies, strategies, and programs aligned with the organization's goals.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- MBA in HR with 8-16 years of progressive HR leadership experience.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

- Attention to detail with a hands on approach to management

- Excellent communication skills, written and oral

- A team player who can interact with all levels of the organization

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities

- Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other HR engagement programs and processes.

- Proficient in MS Office. Must include knowledge of Excel and human resource information systems.

- Comprehensive knowledge of HR practices and the ability to analyze, interpret and explain the legal framework regulating employment

Key Responsibilities :

Recruitment :

- Proactively assess team and employee needs and implement appropriate solutions.

- Source and recruit qualified candidates using conventional and innovative channels.

- Lead competitive market research to establish pay practices that help to recruit and retain superior staff.

Statutory compliance :

- Protects the interests of the company and its employees in accordance with company HR policies and governmental laws and regulations. Minimizes risk.

- Responsible for company statutory compliance (including labor laws, wages, contract labors act, bonus act, gratuity act, ESI, PF, registration, professional tax, and other statutory matters. Serves as the primary contact with outside government agencies.

- Maintaining Attendance & Leave Record database according to the Shops and Establishment Act.

- Audit and authenticate all documents related to legal, salary statements and distribution, policies etc.

Compensation :

- Establishes the company salary structure, pay policies and oversees the variable pay systems including bonuses and raises.

- Preparation of pay roll inputs, Loss of Pay Statements, leave abstracts, Over Time and pay slips for all employees.

- Monitors all pay practices and systems for effectiveness and cost containment.

- Recommends changes in benefits offered, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention.

Employee welfare, training and performance management :

- Consults with the management team to assess skill gaps and executes plans for skill development areas.

- Establishes employee training programs that address company training needs including assessment of training needs, new employee orientations, management development, measurement of training impact, and training transfers. Provides necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports.Maintains employee training records.

- Assists with the development of and monitors the spending of the corporate training budget.

- Leads the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.

- Manage the performance management process including feedback mechanism, timeline adherence, and handling grievance issues.

- Monitors and advises managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline system of the company. Monitors the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees.

- Establishes employee relations practices necessary for positive employer-employee relationships and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation. Conducts periodic surveys to measure employee satisfaction and employee engagement.

- Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.

- Establish review and feedback mechanisms within and between teams to ensure effective communication.
