Currently hiring for a challenging role with a Global Oil &amp; Gas firm based in Mumbai. JOB TITLE: Head HR LOCATION: Mumbai REPORTING TO: Director India Operations REPORTERS: 10 to 12 people Manage the HR activities for India consistent with Company policy and aligned with Company vision. Provide counsel / guidance to Country Operations Management and direction to HR Team in the areas of workforce planning, people development, employee relations, compensation &amp; benefits, facilities and other HR related issues. Responsibilities : - Serve as coach, counsellor and mentor to management on a broad range of HR issues/needs - Overall point of contact for national employees which includes facilitating the resolution of employee concerns and grievances - Manage future manpower requirements and tracking progress against manpower plans. Study and analyse manpower data (attrition, turnover) to identify trends and their potential impact on the organization. - Generate and maintain countries nationalization plans in accordance with company's vision, labour laws and customer's requirements - Coordinate and support the recruitment efforts for shore-based country requirements. - Facilitate recruitment efforts as necessary utilizing established recruitment protocols and procedures. - Facilitates and maintains countries succession plans for all facilities. - Provide statistical information when required, eg. headcount, turnover for company headcount report - Oversee periodic country wage surveys or internal reviews to determine competitive positions and consistency of compensation, and make recommendations on compensation program components adequacy and relevance to local labour market conditions. - In partnership with Corporate Compensation, establish individual compensation proposals for review and approval by Operations Director, Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Compensation Manager per approval requirements. - Develop compensation and benefits packages for new hires. - Oversee local medical benefit plans and negotiate new plans as necessary. - Develop and maintain local Human Resources policies. - Oversee government relations activities at it relates to work permit and visa processing - Make recommendation for headcount adjustments and / or annual salary increases based on labour market conditions. Ensure HR plans execution is in line with both forecast and business needs. Requirements: - Bachelors degree and experience in local Human Resources management with a Oil &amp; Gas Industry is a plus - Must possess advance level of the English language both verbal and written - Indian national with international HR experience would also be a plus - Ability to plan for projects such as staffing projects - Must be able to organize and prioritize own work and team - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in local language. - Self-motivated, proactive and excellent work ethic - Employee must be able to make recommendations and decisions under timely and critical circumstances using his or her own initiative - Well developed Computer skills and proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook - Must have a good foundation knowledge of Microsoft suite of products and previous knowledge of HRIS system such as recruiting system Competencies for the role: - Hands On. The ability to - Roll up sleeve- and not just pass on the work to the team - Good communicator - Someone with excellent communication and written skills in English; must be able to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas - Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines to maintain quality workforce - Detail Oriented - Ability to quickly react to the situation and make recommendations
