JOB SPECIFICATION

Position : GM - HR

Location : Chennai

Reporting to : Managing Director

JOB PURPOSE

The main focus of this position is to provide Human Resources expertise and professional support to enhance the performance of Sundaram Fasteners with respect to developing an engaged workforce and maintaining a positive working environment. The person needs to work closely with the Senior Management in ensuring smooth functioning of the department, bringing in new developmental initiatives and ensuring successful implementation of the proposals.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Talent Acquisition/ Recruitment: Responsible for overlooking the entire recruitment process for the corporate office middle and senior management roles.

- Change Management: Develop a change management strategy based on a situational awareness of details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.

- Performance Management: Facilitate effective performance management by ensuring objectives and targeted development plans and performance action plans are set. Participate in the Performance Appraisal Cycle. Involve in Identifying Gaps; evaluating potential solutions; implementing changes; Coaching and Counseling the Managers and Employees

- Employee Interaction & Engagement: Devise methods and processes for better Employee Evaluation, Conduct Employee Job Satisfaction Surveys and implement Motivational Strategies. Employee advocacy and grievance holding.

- Compensation & Benefits: Benchmarking Salaries and advising management in case of market corrections.

- Statutory Compliances and Policy Administration: Ensure monthly remittances, Renewal of policies (Superannuation, Gratuity and Medical Insurances) and settlement claim.

- Partner with business leaders to ensure that succession supports the development of employees and function/ plant goals

HR Effectiveness :

- Ensure that HR processes are in par with the best practices and efficient in producing results and are in line with the internal audit standards.

- Ensure that proper technology is employed to accomplish effective results.
