About the Head of People Role- :

As we expand our operations into multiple cities, we are looking for an experienced and creative HR professional to join our core team in the role of Head of People. We spend most of our time thinking about how we can deliver more meaningful learning experiences and we want our Head of People to apply the same passion, rigor, and intellectual discipline to managing our team. As a champion of the culture, you will innovatively apply broader business skills and strategic thinking to create a People function that gives the orgzn a unique competitive advantage.

Responsibilities :

a. Work towards developing an appreciation of the diverse set of people and develop a deep understanding of their motivations

b. Partner with the core team to develop a comprehensive strategic roadmap to building a People function to support the company's growth

c. Establish a framework by which we recruit, develop, and retain people across different types of roles - school leadership, teaching, curriculum development, technology, design, and school operations

d. Apply business concepts and a data-driven approach to ensure that we are maximizing the happiness and efficacy of our people

e. Develop and oversee recruitment and interviewing processes to target the highest caliber candidates that embody our culture and value

f. Conceptualize and implement new learning and development programs to provide employees with the necessary tools to be the most effective in their roles

g. Develop and implement performance a feedback program and drive a culture of feedback-driven development

h. Collaborate with the core team to develop and iterate hiring and org plans based on the evolving strategic needs as the organization scales

i. Work directly with the CEO to create a performance-driven compensation and benefits structure including Employee Stock Options j

g. Own all other HR functions ensuring we are set up for success and scale

Preferred Qualifications/Skills :

1. A strong passion for providing high-quality learning experiences

2. A masters degree in HR (premiere b schools)

3. 5+ years of work experience in HR of a high growth company or a large organization known for its impressive work culture

4. Deep passion for people and a strong instinct for managing and developing talent

5. Strategic thinker with the proven ability to execute and build scalable processes and systems

6. A bias towards action and willingness to work in ambiguity

7. Excellent communication skills - written and oral
