Report to : Country Head/ CEO/ Board of Director
Team Reporting to Head HR: Entire Plant and Corporate HR of Bangladesh setup
Internal Relations: BODs, CEO, CFO, HODs, Country Heads
External Relations: Labor Office, Employment Agencies
Candidate Profile
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement human resource policies, procedures and systems pertaining to Manpower Planning, Recruitment, Compensation, Performance Management, Staff Benefits and Welfare administration and Employee Relations.
- Well versed with HR Information Systems, Mercer job classification systems, etc.
- Extensive experience in working in a rapidly changing environment in a developing economy.
- Experience in handing Trade Unions, etc in a factory environment will be essential. Experience in overseeing a large sales force in addition will be an added asset.
- Provide HR consulting, strategic insights and solutions to management and business units in the development of HRM systems and programs that are aligned with the company business objectives
- Active involvement in strategic human resources planning with line managers to meet business and operational needs
- Build and foster a culture of employee engagement to reinforce the organization's business strategies for continuous growth and improvement
- Manage Company's succession planning, staff training needs and career progression
- Hands-on strategic planning and implementation of Training and Development roadmap essential
- Internal - This job require extensive interaction with Senior Management team and functional heads across the Company.
- External - The job holder is expected to be able to interact effectively with all external stakeholders, eg Labour Departments, Labour Unions and HR service providers.
Some Important points:
a) Experience of working in Bangladesh is MUST
b) Experience in developing market in a factory environment is critical
c) Experience in any professional (preferably multinational) environment with developed systems ( HRIS, Use of Mercer job classification, employee surveys, Appraisal and Evaluation systems and developing and managing appropriate incentive systems ) is a must. The individual will be expected to lead the team and organization to its next phase of growth.
As a final point we will add that, it is important to have a person who is a team player and enjoys rolling up their sleeves and wanting to learn about the nuts and bolts of the business - it is a rapidly changing environment and to show leadership in this role, it will be important to be open to learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably with specialization in Human Resources
- At least 10-20 years of experience in relevant capacity level
- Good command of both spoken and written English
- Excellent negotiation skills in order to settle disputes and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Timeliness and decisiveness in action
- Ability to work under pressure and timeline
- Effective and objective communicator
- High level of integrity and live the Company's value
