Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Health and Safety Planning
- Develop Health and Safety objectives and targets for the organization
- Develop systems and procedures by adapting industry best practices
- Review Health and Safety Management System implementation
- Modify, improve the systems & procedures as per requirement
- Monitor and track process adherence across the organization
- Identify awareness and capability gap within the organization related to health and safety
- Design and drive implementation of training programs and initiatives to up skill awareness 40% - Plan vs actual on Health and Safety objectives
Statutory Audits/ Compliances
- Guide team to investigate incidents, monitor compliance to Health and Safety regulations and norms
- Drive team to renew certifications and standardize Health and Safety records for regulatory authorities
- Oversee periodic audits as per schedule and review the NCs raised
- Provide inputs for course correction and escalate critical issues to relevant stakeholders 30% - No. of non-compliances
Stakeholder and Vendor Management
- Interact with relevant regulatory authority personnel for maintaining relationships and leveraging network, as required
- Interact with vendors/contractors, shortlist and finalize them on the basis of capability and reliability
- Address grievances of vendors/contractors and mitigate concerns.
- Provide feedback on their performance and escalate critical issues to senior management, if any. 30% - Delays in obtaining (re)certifications

Qualification

- 10+ years of experience in handling Health and Safety Management in a mid to large services organization
- Understanding of various business processes in the organization
- Ability to work in ambiguity and influence without authority
