Head - Health & Safety / EHS Head Our client is a Industry leader in one of the fastest growing sectors in India Summary of the role : - Leadership and accountability for the development, implementation and governance of organizations safety culture strategy. - Ensuring continuous development of culture and performance in terms of accident & ill health prevention and environmental protection. Roles and Responsibilities : 1. Operational : - Define the EHS Policy & other documents in line with safety culture strategy - Implementation of safety culture Governance process across the organizations - Engagement at all levels to effectively deploy the safety culture program - Develop, Deploy and act upon effective EHS performance KPI's - Facilitate EHS trainings, incident investigations, CSM and various other initiatives to improve the program - Deploy programs to assess and develop the organizations competencies in EHS - Deploy the awareness and motivation initiatives for safety culture - Develop the EHS community fostering a collaborative approach with analytical mindset - Develop and continuously improve the organizations EHS management system - Integrate benchmark and state of the art practices for developing EHS performance and culture - Partner with HR in relation to the organization health and well-being approaches - Establish industry world class standards through liaison with external bodies 2. Managerial (Budget / Administration / People) : - To ensure availability of competent EHS resources in the organization - To ensure proper support, training and development of the EHS resources - Set objectives and evaluate performance of the culture program - Prepare, monitor and control the cost and budget - Evidence of good performance related to key tasks and responsibility mentioned above, use to measure success in the role - Measurement will be through the setting of personal objectives and twice per year performance reviews - Performance will be measured through improvement against strategy and target Person Profile : - We need someone who has worked on creating policies, not just implementing them - A Change Management Champion the person has the executive presence and interpersonal skills to institutionalize a culture where EHS is second nature - The person should be hands on and should travel frequently to various sites across the country. - Ideally an Engineer with excellent communication skills and atleast 15 years experience, including 5 years leading an EHS function . The role reports to the head of Quality and EHS
