This role is part of the Controllership Centre of Excellence (CCoE). The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Group Financial Reporting & Accounting (GFRA) and Specialist functions.

(Treasury, Tax, Credit Management, Internal Audit, Security & Controls, Media Compliance and Legal & Compliance Operations) in Bangalore.

- Driving controllership agenda and ensuring robust controls to strengthen fair and accurate financial reporting at DI level, supporting an appropriate control and compliance environment in line with Group policy and IFRS and contributing to insightful & high-quality financial reporting to key stakeholders.


- The individual in this role will work closely with Group Finance Reporting & Controls and Specialists team based out of London Headquarters and provide specific expertise in relation to certain key areas, potentially including consolidation accounting; IFRS technical expertise and driving & standardizing controllership agenda across the globe.

- The role will also have a focus on identifying and building efficiencies and improvements through automation / data analytics / dashboarding. The role requires close collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional team members to drive the planning and implementation of the integrations.

Job Description :

- Oversee Finance consolidation post close, work and collaborate with various finance teams
to ensure early finalization of financial statements.

- Implementation and pass down of IFRS 16 requirements to markets.

- Set and drive the controllership agenda ensuring robust controls and strengthening. financial reporting and accounting framework.

- Guide team members handling Specialist finance functions - Tax, Transfer Pricing, Internal Audit, Global Credit Management, Media Compliance and collaborate with onsite. stakeholders as required.

- Transition and stabilize the Legal & Compliance Operations team within Bangalore.

- Drive compliance with DI policies on financial reporting, review extensively the analysis & review of monthly / quarterly reported financials in assigned area in DI Group consolidation.
as per the scheduled deadlines.


- Ensure proper and timely action on potential deviations from policies on financial reporting and follow up on them before deadlines.

- Apply relevant training, knowledge, and experience within the context provided and guide markets and regional team on relevant professional and technical standards in making. informed decisions.

- Drive and manage process improvement initiatives & contribute to overall goal of accelerated reporting through automations and maintenance of the group's consolidation. system

- Undertake and deliver on other ad-hoc areas, as required by management.

- Actively engage with stake holders to understand requirements, set expectations, address concerns, and action them.

- Work with HR on the talent agenda, guide and mentor team members as required and focus on their career growth, training and development.

Professional skills :

- Drive and support the development of a professional & high performing function

- Finance Functional expertise, particularly in Controllership, Operational Finance and associated systems and process

- Strong Controls and Compliance experience.

- Strong Programme and project management skills.

- Advanced MS Office user.

- Exposure to SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation) would be an added advantage.
