Please find the below JD.

To lead all non-equity verticals including Economics, Fixed Income and Rates, Equity Strategy, Equity Quants, FX, Research Marketing and Climate Change Index Research teams in Global Research Centre, Bangalore; and contribute in enhancing the capabilities and efficiency of the reporting teams as well as Bangalore Research Center; Also, assist HoR in special projects and in general management

The VP, Macro teams, Global Research will be responsible for:

- Manage Macro Research teams of around 30 FTEs including responsibilities for recruitment, retention, motivation, career development as well as quality and timeliness of output in all verticals

- Performance management: Responsible for setting the objectives and manage performance in line with the center level objectives and group mandated standards. Suggest ideas and contribute to implementing actions that will improve quality or the way teams and individuals work together

- Relationship management: Effectively manage relations with onshore stakeholders to improve overall engagement and show pro-activeness in anticipating requests for commercial needs.

- Resource management: Identify training needs for direct reports based on current job and future aspirations. Provide or arrange for coaching and mentoring of all team members. Ensure that resources are sufficiently trained and developed in order to deliver the service that is required and to the necessary high standards.

- Capacity management within the assigned head-count budget and other constraints; Smoothly manage all contingencies, attrition risk and ensure business continuity

- Macro-Asset Class Knowledge: Has a strong understanding of one or multiple asset classes managed under the role as outlined above.

- Financial knowledge: Coach and guide team members drawing from one's sound knowledge of financial markets, investment research and client needs. Develop, implement and further improve best practices in financial modeling, forecasts, valuation and financial analysis within the teams. Anticipate changing regulations and cross regional dynamics on performance of sector/asset class/economy and drive their implementation in research through direct or indirect management. Design programs which build knowledge and drive increased idea generation from the teams

- Research communication and reports writing: Use powerful and persuasive communication to improve quality of team's output. Actively listen and adapt the communication style considering the audience while being open and honest. The self and team should be able to communicate research views to internal and external clients, where permitted, and be able to consistently apply sound research writing principles to produce independent research. Implement the best practices in Research writing to produce reports which are clear, consistent, and non-consensual and supported by facts and analysis

- Global Products: Co-ordinate global products from Bangalore as required by global/regional sector heads.

- Ensure complete compliance: for both individual and the team to both Global Research and GBM-GSC related with anticipation and pro-activeness

- Contribute to team development, effectiveness and success by sharing knowledge and good practice, working collaboratively with others to create a productive, diverse and supportive working environment. This may involve delivering trainings and/or knowledge sharing at various forums, both within team and at department level

- Organize knowledge sharing forums at team and if required, at the department level. Deliver trainings. Regular meeting with direct reports to increase employee engagement. Facilitate career movements

- Contribute to department and center level priorities with own initiative

- Actively engage with key stakeholders from Global Banking and Markets (GBM) and company Operations, Services and Technology (HOST) at Bangalore and build an effective personal network; promote cross businesses collaboration and represent research in such initiatives

- Responsible for ensuring seamless communication and teamwork between onshore team and resources in Bangalore

- Active member of the GSC Research Mancom team and run and lead key floor-wide strategic initiatives

- Adhere to company policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working, exceptional and project activities, and raise any concerns about actual or potential issues promptly, in line with reporting and escalation procedures

- Other assignments as guided by HoR from time to time

- Understand and comply with all relevant policies and procedures issued by the Group and contained within the Group Standards Manual and relevant Functional Instruction Manuals, Desk Instruction Books and Process Guide.
