We are Antal International, a senior recruitment firm; currently hiring for Legal Head- General Manager in Noida for largest printing, publishing and packaging company.
Ideal Candidate :
- Review, draft & modify contracts & agreements to ensure that they are in compliance with all the statutory requirements & meeting business objectives
- Provide legal protection and risk management advise to management specially on contracts management
- Reviews & advise management on legal implication of internal policies & procedures
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate course of action are in place
- Advise & Manage all civil, commercial, criminal & labour related cases affecting business & its operations
- Review progress of outstanding litigation, liaise with relevant authorities & manage external lawyers (if any)
- Ensure identification and resolution of potential disputes before escalation to litigation.
- Advise & update management on regular basis matters related to state/national & international laws which may affect company's business & operations
- Should have knowledge & skills to handle the work required under SEBI rules, listing agreements and other security exchange related matters say timely disclosure to stock exchange etc.
- Should have in-depth understanding about Companies Act to comply rules like CSR activities, strict restrictions on related party transaction etc.
- Formulate compliance check-list to be used for the purpose of ensuring that all the information required is available
- Continuously monitor compliance & advise management accordingly
- Prepare monthly & quarterly compliance report and legal cases update to inform management
- Provide & interpret legal information, disseminate knowledge to relevant employees as & when needed
- Interface with global team for all legal and compliance related matter & advise them appropriately as per the business need
Interface with HR for performance review, training & other related matters
Job Description :
- The primary focus of this role is to strengthen in-house legal function in order to ensure smooth business & operational transactions by complying law of the land.
- In addition, this role will also be responsible for creating right check & balance to improve our business efficiency.
- This responsibility will be a hybrid of strategic & operational in nature.
- This role is at leadership level & the incumbent is expected to work effectively & efficiently with all the stakeholders say Internal & External in order to put legally right mechanism.
Education/ Experience :
- The incumbent should be Law graduate (Preferably post graduate) with hands-on experience at least 15 - 20 yrs in handling legal & related matters in public listed manufacturing company.
