A fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate looking to develop their experience of working in a start up organisation.   The purpose of this role is to manage the P&L, produce monthly management accounts and a monthly profit and loss budget and projections for all centres.   The Head of Finance will report into the Managing Director.  This position will be responsible for ensuring that internal financial controls are in place and regularly monitored. This position is responsible for the overall financial management, business analysis and reporting.  Key responsibilities:  - Annual Budgeting - lead annual budgeting process and business planning across India, including run out budgets  - Financial Processes & Controls - Identifying and implementing best practice to make the company’s financial processes and controls more efficient and effective.  - Preparing reports as required for Audit Committee, Executive Committee, Group Board & India Board.  - Preparation of monthly forecasts and accounts, monitoring against budget and reporting variances to the MD.  - Cash-flow Management – Forecast, monitor and control the company’s receipts and payments to ensure these are optimised and in line with submitted cash flow forecasts  - Responsible for Processing payments through bank account.  - Audits – Manage local audit, ensuring timetables are met and fully compliant with group guidelines.   - Responsible for authorising sales invoicing.  - Responsible for preparation of statutory accounts.   - Ensuring compliance with statutory law & accounting best practice  - Tax support – Overseeing local tax positions to ensure effective compliance with local tax authorities.   - Management of local banking relationship  - Coordinating membership renewals  - Monitoring debtors & creditors  - To develop finance policies and procedures and ensure that these are being consistently followed - including customer and supplier contracts, purchase orders, credit control, and ensuring timely invoicing by suppliers.  - Liaising with UK accountant on an ongoing basis  - Monitoring Company Secretarial work  - Responsible for processing salary for all India staff  SKILLS  - CA & CS Degree  - At least 5-6 years PQE   - Commercial and in-depth understanding of business operation and processes  - An affinity with numbers and the ability to interpret them for others  - Outstanding financial acumen  - Knowledge of Indian GAAP  - Good written and verbal communication skills.  - Attention to detail, excellent time management skills.  - Ability to identify and resolve problems, under pressure.  - Flexible approach and attitude.  - Enthusiastic, a team player with strong interpersonal skills.  - Customer-facing with good customer service skills.  - Willingness to work unsociable hours when required
