- Our client is a European Retail company having presence in about 100 countries. The company has its operations into markets in Asia and in Eastern and Central Europe, Canada, South America, and the United States. Their products are sold through more than 2000 stores, as well as independent retailers and online sales

Job Description :

As the Head of Finance you will be reporting to the CEO and be responsible for :

Financial Reporting :

- Coordinates and ensures accuracy of monthly management accounts

- Produce accurate, timeous and meaningful information as and when required

- Ensure the presentation of the monthly results to Group is done in a professional manner

- Monitor variances between actual results, forecast and budget and analyse reasons for variances

- Deliver reports within required deadline

Cash Flow Management :

- Monitor the cash flow daily

- Implement and maintain effective controls and processes within the cash management system

- Maintain and review Cash Flow Forecast to ensure adequate funds available to meet the companies outflow obligations

- Ensure excess cash invested where the highest yield possible, but staying within the rules set out in the Treasury Policy

- Explore new avenues to invest excess funds in any new investment instruments

Managing Company Capital Expenditure :

- Ensure adequate Capital Expenditure Policy in place

- Ensure accurate recording of all Capital Expenditure

- Ensure all items on the Fixed Asset system tracked and accounted for

- Ensure procurement of assets in accordance with Procurement Policy

Strategic Financial Planning :

- Evaluating business plans and strategies for maximizing profitability, revenue generation & realize organizational goals, Risk analysis for business, management discussion and analysis, financial presentations.

- Managing finance functions like determining financial objectives, designing & implementing systems, policies and procedures to facilitate internal financial controls.

MIS :

- Preparation of MIS reports on financial performance viz., preparation of Monthly Profitability Statements Income / Expenses, product-wise sales analysis, revenue expenses - comparative analysis, debtor/creditor ageing analysis, formulating operating budgets and conducting variance analysis & cash flow analysis.

- Preparing financial reports to determine the financial viability, projecting cash flow and growth opportunities while preparing projected financial statements.

Taxation / Statutory Compliance :

- Tax planning, interfacing with taxation authorities for timely filing of TDS, GST and income tax assessments and filing of various forms, returns etc. required under various statutes.

- Ensuring adherence to Companies Act and preparation of annual returns & forms. Ensuring regulatory compliances, payments of license fee, revenue share, GST, withholding taxes etc.

- Handling finalization of annual statement of accounts

Financial Controls :

- Ensure financial information entered on the financial systems is accurate

- Ensure effective and efficient functioning of the various sub systems - debtors, creditors, fixed assets etc.

- Evaluate and review systems on an on-going basis to ensure relevancy and efficiency

- Ensure adequate segregation of duties is in place for all Finance systems

- Review segregation of duties regularly and update/change when necessary

- Monthly review of Balance Sheet reconciliation

- Monthly review of Income Statements

Profile :

- Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of experience in handling the overall finance function. You have an experience in working with complex organizations and have been involved in strategic planning, controls & compliance and overseeing the business controlling function. You have a proven track record the finance team and being an active contributor to management level discussions. You also have excellent communication and leadership skills.
