Leadership to the finance and legal functions of the Foundation and provide strategic inputs to define financial direction of the organisation. This involves providing short term and long term financial direction and related strategic plans, thus helping the organisation achieve its objectives in a planned efficient manner.

1. Oversee Accounting, Audits, statutory filings, Statutory and financial compliance, financial governance, financial planning and monitoring, management of relationship with Government and other external stakeholders.

2. Legal compliance & related problem resolution.

3. Process improvements and automation through oracle ERP.

Financial Strategy

- Effective functional strategy to align finance to organisational objectives.

- Drive initiatives across all locations

Accounting

- Management of accounting activities

- Accounting through three separate set of books for FCRA and Main books across different locations.

- Ensure efficiency in order to facilitate uninterrupted functioning at all locations

Planning

- Strategic Plan (STRAP)

- AOP

- LRP

Reporting

- Monthly closure and MAPA

- Reporting to Trustees

- Donor reporting

Stakeholder Management

- Management with relationship with government, Income tax department, Home ministry for FCRA, relevant state officers for material movement, WCT etc.

- Timely submission and receipt of claims from government

- Donor agreements, reporting and submission of utilization statement

Processes

- Develop and upgrade Processes to bring about efficiency, alignment to organizational goals and good governance.

- Implementation and monitoring of processes.

Compliance

- Quarterly Compliance certification

- Statutory audits- Timely completion twice in a year.

- Internal Audits- Develop scope, carry out quarterly audits, coordination with all departments and state offices to take corrective action and reporting to CEO and corporate office

- Responsibility of ensuring compliance to DOA

- Returns and assessments- Income tax, FCRAothers as required

- Government approvals and Certifications as required- e.g. Tax exemption under section 197 of IT act.

Banking and Treasury

- Management of Bankers

- Management of Investments

- Funds planning and management

Trustee Meetings

- Compliance to defined agenda

- Presentation and review of various matters like Compliance certification, Internal Audit reports, Statutory audits, Finance update, Financial review

Support to other departments

- Purchase committee member

- Construction contracting and settlement

- Procurement contracting

- Donor contracts and servicing

- Finding gaps in working of any department and supporting for improvement plan.

Support to CEO

- Highlight critical issues

- Strategic inputs

- Monthly reporting

- Need based support

Legal

- Safe keep and compliance of land documents

- Legal support to all departments for MOUs, Litigation, legal opinion etc

Donor Management

- Ensuring relevant agreement with donors and timely submission of donor reporting in agreed format and timelines
