About the Role | Head of Finance (North India)

Our Client is looking to hire a Head of Finance, with a good background in a manufacturing company with manage about 10+ plants located in Northern India.

This person will be responsible for handling the complete gamut of activities for the Finance and Accounting function . The incumbent shall be responsible for maintaining multiple Plant accounts, statutory compliance, working capital management, Account Receivables, Credit and Commercial activities, cost accounting, Budgeting, taxation payments for vendors and MIS.

Key Performance Areas :

- Responsible for financial and budgetary control of the Plants, ensuring zero overrun and leakage.

- Manage the working capital for all 10 Plant and ensure reduction in the same.

- Ensure timely closing of the Plant accounts and ensuring accuracy in reporting.

- Ensure statutory compliance for all the Plants, and ensure non compliance.

- Support in the decision making process by preparing MIS, and performing any financial analysis as required by the Head of Finance.

Financial Planning and Control :

- Coordinate, control and monitor the cost across the Plants

- Review the budget versus actual and highlight any discrepancies to the Head of Finance.

- Ensure accurate accounting of inventory for managing future forecasting and working capital management.

- Analyze inventory costing and price variance on a regular basis.

- Ensure Cash Flow Management and proper utilization of available funds.

- Control the capex expenditure across the Plant in consultation with the Finance Head, as required.

Accounting & Cash Management :

- Over see the preparation the Plant Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash flow, etc. in a timely and accurate manner

- Ensure monthly reconciliation of sales and purchase, banking transactions, creditors.

- Monitor the receivables and follow up for the same in consultation with the Plants Manufacturing/ Purchase team.

Compliance : Ensure compliance

MIS and Reporting :

- Provide regular MIS to the Head Of Finance on budgeting variance, working capital, statutory compliance and audits.

Must-Have Requirements :

- A qualified CA.

- An experience of 10 to 15 years in Finance, with a Manufacturing unit.

- Excellent team management skills, with the ability to handle a team of 8 people and drive performance from the team by motivating, coaching the team members.

- Ability to resolve conflict with timely intervention.
