Role Summary : Our client, a reputed educational institution providing quality technical education is looking for Head of Finance. The Head Finance advises the Senior Management on all matters pertaining to the financial management and operations of the Institution and is also expected to assist in promoting a customer-oriented service attitude at the same time ensuring adequate control and oversight on the assets of the Institution. Key Responsibilities : - Financial planning and strategy - Balance Sheet Management - Strategic planning and vision - Quality management - Promotion of process improvement - Forecasting &amp; Strategy - Corporate finance - Budgeting &amp; Cost Management - Intergroup Co-ordination - Team Management Skills Required : - Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities are required. The ability to project a strong positive image of the Institution; - Ability to interact with all constituencies both internal and external in a positive and co-ordinated manner - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to organize and manage complex functions are required. - Exceptional aptitude in financial activities management is required. - Must be skilled in using financial management software commonly used within the Financial and Accounting function. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. - Demonstrated success in working with persons from diverse backgrounds and ability to multi-task is required. - A successful track record of innovation is preferred. - Ability to coach and mentor the team would be a pre-requisite. - Ability to work in an unstructured environment and contribute both individually as well as in a Team would be essential to success. Qualifications &amp; Experience : - A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent. - Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India - Proficiency with accounting software, word processing, and spreadsheets. - Solid GAAP and financial reporting technical skills. - Extensive financial and controllership experience in a mid to large sized entity. - Experience in an institution / Knowledge of higher education sector is desirable. - Minimum 10 years- experience in accounting and financial management practices. - Experience in a senior management position.
