Role: Financial Head

Location: Mumbai

Job Profile

We are looking for Head of Finance and Accounting, having a minimum experience of 10- 15 years of work experience as Chartered Accountant. NGO experience is not necessary but candidates with NGO experience will be an additional qualification and will be given a preference.

Dignity Foundation

1) Provide trustworthy information about financial facts. This might involve financial reporting, taxation, auditing, Trust finance, accounting systems and processes.

2) Play a strategic role by providing professional advice, aiming to maximise surplus and economise on expenditures to create savings.

3) In financial management, you will

- Undertake daily cash flow management

- Make payment recommendations

- dialogue with service providers to examine their rates and deposits if any ;

- review systems and procedures set up and maximize their efficacy.

- Keep separate accounts of all CSR funds as per their company origin and send utilization certificates exactly as per our contracts and agreements - About 10 companies and parties are there for such submissions.

- performing tests to check financial information and systems;

- maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information - Monthly Management Info Systems

- detecting and preventing fraud misappropriations

- manage junior colleagues.

- Liaise with external auditors and deal with any financial irregularities if any

- producing reports and recommendations following annual audits

- preparing financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts;

- preparing financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting;

- advising on tax and treasury issues;

- negotiating terms with suppliers.

4) Manage Chapter Accounts and several Bank accounts in other cities

5) Ensure Statutory compliances - TDS, Prof Tax, IT, 80-G requirements, 35AC, FCRA

6) Charity Commissioner Submissions - meeting if and when necessary

7) FCRA submissions

8) MIS to Management on a monthly basis

9) Preparation for Yearly Audit

10) Preparing Utilisation certificates for Donor companies

Dignity Lifestyle Retirement Township

1) Manage accounts of 100 residents

2) Manage accounts of Construction Financing - with 10 parties involved in it and another 100 new admissions that mops up funds for the same

3) Intelligent management of expenses over running the facility as well deploying monies for construction

4) Make Project proposals to attract CSR funding for Dementia building and running of its services

5) Comply with all statutory regulations - TDS; IT; 80G submission;

6) Regular payments management to all 20 Service Providers/Vendors

7) Hold quarterly Audits

8) Make 5 year Projections to partner Trusts in order to keep their interest and involvement going

9) Fix pricing and resident-friendly postures in fund management by bringing in intelligent schemes of fee charges

10) Provide regular feedback to Trustees about financial position

Desired Skills:

Must be a Chartered Accountant with excellent knowledge of Tally and MS excel skills.

Incumbent should have good understanding of the accounting, reporting and compliance environment as far as charitable organisations are concerned.

Should have experience in independently handling accounts finalisation and making periodical MIS presentation to top Management

Should be able to make financial projections of Projects conceived by the management .

He/she Should be able to articulate and write well.

He/ she should be high on energy, multi-tasking and must handled a team of high performing accounts Team

Having excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

Fluent in oral and written English is essential

Ability to self-initiate, problem solve, make decisions independently and to know when to seek additional guidance

Good analytical skills

Should be an expert on TDS and other statutory compliances

Should have a conducive personality for Coordination activities with Auditors

Retired Talent is okay but computer proficiency, knowledge of Tally 9, multi tasking, and fast working skills are necessary .

Should guarantee at least 5 years of staying with the Foundation.
