a. Job Purpose

Responsible for leading and ensuring the financial management and control for a unit. Formulate yearly plans and budgets in compliance to all statutes and policies; produce financial reports and balance sheet preparation of the unit. Guiding Unit head and senior executives to improve the profitability and analyze markets and market trends for opportunities for resources capitalization.

b. Primary Responsibilities

i. Ensure that all of the company's financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation.

ii. Preparation of Balance Sheets for the unit; collation and consolidation of unit balance sheets into the Organization-wide Balance sheets.

iii. Assist in company-wide budgetary planning

iv. Formulate, Develop, Review, and Adhere to the budgets for each business department within the unit.

v. Oversee and be responsible for the mid-year and end-of-year financial audits of the unit. Manage and coordinate all back-end responsibilities for ensuring 100% compliance (such as stock-taking, lying balance, bill payment, financial closures and receivables)

vi. Formulate Weekly and Monthly MIS / reports for ensuring control of the deliverables with agreed-upon SLAs.

vii. Providing all monthly, mid-year and annual reports to the Head Office in Mumbai.

viii. Monitor, Control and Advice on the cash flows, investment avenues with a balance between risk and returns, liaison with banks and financial concerns and authorities. Work with external stakeholders and ensure availability of forex for operations

ix. Schedule, coordinate and supervise all stock-taking operations for revenue and capex materials.

x. Create and foster a learning environment for the subordinates for their growth and development, and provide coaching and mentoring whenever necessary and applicable.

xi. Analyse the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans for the future

c. Additional responsibilities

i. To maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the organization- 's financial systems, procedures, and reports.

ii. In coordination with the Unit head represent the unit at national and regional levels; to investors, local and national government authorities, business and NGO partners and any other parties as required.

iii. To maintain professional standards within the Finance team.

iv. To liaison with government and statutory authorities in the region

v. To liaison and network with other finance heads in the region

2. Key Interactions

a) Internal (Supply chain, Sales & Marketing, Corporate Centre functions, and IBU)

b) External(External audit firms, statutory auditors, government bodies)
