Relationship Manager - Supply Chain Finance

- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our startup as the Head of Finance. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the financial strategy of the company. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic thinking, financial expertise, and hands-on experience in a startup environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Create and maintain sustainable financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.

- Collaborate with executive leadership to make strategic financial decisions aligned with the company's goals.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and assumptions for comprehensive financial modelling.

- Lead budgeting and financial planning with a visionary approach.

- Prepare and manage budgets in aligning with the organizational objectives.

Operational Financial Management:

- Lead the month-end closing process, completing financial reports and conducting monthly financial forecasts. Oversee ongoing financial operations, including invoicing, cash flow, and other transactions.

- Provide financial insight and analysis to drive organizational performance.

- Investor and Stakeholder Relationship

- Build and Maintain relationship with investors and drive Investor Reports.

- Lead Fund raise financial, legal and secretarial due diligence, statutory audits, other audits, etc. Treasury:

- Effectively oversee cash flow to ensure the organization has adequate liquidity for both operations and expansion.

- Manage working capital and produce accurate cash flow forecasts.

Financial Management:

- Directs the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to parent company, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.

- Responsible for ensuring the financial performance of the company and all other aspects of the business are accurately accounted for and reported.

- Examine financial and legal documents, ensuring adherence to regulations and acceptable financial principles. Leadership and Team Management:

- Maintain right team size for finance team with proper roles and responsibilities to manage the business tasks and put in effective control system compliance as per group norms as well statutory regulations.

- Establishes long-term needs for information systems, and plans strategy for developing systems and acquiring hardware to meet application needs.

- Ensures confidentiality and reliability of corporate data, proprietary information, and intellectual property. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Foster collaboration between finance and other departments to align financial and operational goals. Work closely with executive leadership to implement financial strategies that support overall business objectives.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure compliance with standards.

- Continuously enhance financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy across entities.

- Create, implement and communicate finance policies, procedures and processes across the entire organization.

Position and personnel skills Required:

- Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years of work experience.

- High level integrity with personal ethics

- Demonstrated leadership skills in financial management.

- Ability to make informed decisions and drive financial initiatives.

- Open mind, self-motivator, and good listener.

- Analytical mind and good in interpretation of data.

- Flexible & detail-oriented attitude

- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Must have courage, confidence and conviction to say and do what is right for the organization and those working in it. Be able to influence and persuade others to their point of view if others do not agree.

- Willingness to challenge the status quo, set challenging and ambitious targets and deliver on them.

- Must be resilient, capable of coping with ambiguity and prioritizing the important elements in a very challenging environment.

- Capable of identifying and leading change and continuous improvement in all aspects of the business, seeking to fix problems rather than patch them over, remove waste, reduce cost and improve efficiencies and operational effectiveness.

- Capable of standing their ground in the face of opposition if activity, practice or process is believed to not be in the best interests of the business goals or not compliant with legal requirements or organizational policies.

- Can resolve such conflicts in a professional manner referring to more senior management only when necessary.
