Head - Finance & Accounts - Textile - CPA/CA

Job Duties :

Overall responsibility to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, financial risk management as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

Major Responsibilities :

- Managing all finance and accounting operations

- Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements

- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition & Import/Export procedures

- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances

- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting, product cost calculations

- Research technical accounting issues for compliance

- Support month-end and year-end close process

- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

- Developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting

- High-level financial reporting and analysis, Regular budget consolidation, Cash flow management, Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business, Debt management and collection, Preparing company tax and statements, Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations, Payroll processing, Working closely with Top management to share reports and analysis findings

- Additional controller duties as necessary

Qualifications / Skill sets :

- Proven working experience as a Financial controller (Sr. Manager/AGM/DGM/Head - Finance & Accounts), preferably from mechanical/textile machine manufacturing industry

- 8-17 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

- Advanced degree in Finance & Accounting

- CPA or CA MUST, CS will be additional weightage

- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

- Experience with creating financial statements

- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process

- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills: SAP knowledge will be advantageous

- Well-developed leadership skills and Mentoring Colleagues as Team Leader

- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example

- Self-motivated professional with systematic work style and pro-active approach toward work

- Excellent English oral and written communication skills with ability to connect with customers, internal/external stakeholders, service providers and co-workers at all management levels, German Language will be given weightage

- Knowledge of Hindi / local regional language is essential
