Aarusha Homes Private Limited (Aarusha), established in October 2007, is dedicated to finding housing solutions for low to middle income customers households. The objective of Aarusha is to be “a leading housing solutions provider for migrant population in cities of India”. Aarusha currently runs hostels for students and employees in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Pune (www.aarusha.com). It has a strong board with well reputed individuals and institutions.

Position: Head of Finance and Accounts, Hyderabad

Aarusha is looking for a Head of Finance and Accounts, to work in its corporate office in Hyderabad, India. The following is the job description for the position.

Head of Finance and Accounts will be responsible for:

- Accounts and finance of the Company;

- Raising of capital including debt, equity and other financial instruments for existing products and new products including setting up of new companies in promoting business;

- Budgets and MIS and unit economics analysis;

- Rolling business plan;

- Treasury operations of the company;

- Receivables of the company;

- All statutory compliances;

- Recruitment and management of staff in department; and

- Looking after other functional departments of the Company in start up environment.

Job Requirements

We are looking for candidates with: a strong desire to learn; focus on enhancing customer experience; an ability to creatively enhance their own role; a good working knowledge and experience of finance and accounts aspects of hospitality, retail and/or real estate industry; and, experience of raising debt and equity. The requirement is for candidates with a strong operational background and a sound understanding of businesses of hospitality or retail of real estate industry.

Qualifications Preferred

- Post graduate in finance or chartered accountant (we are open to outstanding candidates with other backgrounds but with relevant work experience in similar industries). Additional qualification such as company secretary will be preferred.

Skills Required

- Experience in finance operations of similar industry and writing of proposals for fund raising;

- Knowledge of good management practices;

- Knowledge of software such as MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word and finance softwares

- Entrepreneurial spirit, risk taking ability and ability to work in start up environment;

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;

- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills- both written and verbal;

- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, self motivated individual having an ability to work individually and as part of a team and ability to motivate team;

- Ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting demands;

- Intellectual curiosity, creativity and self motivation.
