MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Execution of the import trades from group companies at Rotterdam, Canada, Australia, Singapore and USA, including the third parties, for follow up and liaison between the shippers and buyers in:

1. Finalisation of contract; adherence by buyers of their pre-shipment contractual obligations like advance payment, lc opening, import licence etc., follow up with shippers for their post-shipment contractual obligations like timely advice of shipment details, documents to buyers for facilitating timely cargo clearance, follow up with buyers for final payment to shippers etc.

2. Processing of brokerage/commission details from brokers for payment by the group.

3. Monitoring / follow up and coordination with team and the trade on demurrage/dispatch and interest claims between group companies and their buyers in india.

POST ARRIVAL OF IMPORT CARGO -

1. Liaising with cargo clearing agents for submission of documents.

2. Insurance coverage process for cnf cargo.

3. Monitoring/coordination with cha on vessel and container arrvials.

4. Communicating with various government authorities - rationing offices and apmc to inform on the Cargo arrival and other information.

5. Handling the submission of various returns to authorities on regular intervals as per requirements.

6. Execution of pp bags order on requirement.

7. Scrutiny of service providers - bills prior to payments.

8. Monitoring receipt of payments.

9. Updating the management regularly on outstanding receipts

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENT

1. Thorough and expert knowledge and experience of working on Documentary Credits.

2. Ability to understand and counter the invalid discrepancies from banks to minimize cost, prevent unplanned condition problems.

3. Full understanding of LC flow of business and INCO TERMS and experience in handling complex letters of credit especially related to agricultural commodities.

4. For handling bulk business, have fair understanding of different clauses specially FM clauses, Penalties clause against Extension of shipment period.

5. Full understanding of different kind of LOI for handling bulk shipment.

6. Timely execution and regular follow- up with all related counter parties.

7. Co- ordination for vessel execution with supplier/ buyer/ port operations and supervision co (domestic & international).

8. Various system updates & reportings.

9. Scruitinising and processing commodity / service Invoices for payment.

10. Maintaining accurate records of shipment execution as per business requirement.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENT

Degree in any field with specialization in Export/Import Documentation & foreign Trade

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Knowledge of ICC/ IRR/ ISBP rules as an added advantage

2. Knowledge of UCPDC/ LCs

3. Knowledge of import and export regulations in India (other countries is an added advantage).

4. Knowledge regarding vessel handling and discharge operations.

5. Knowledge in grains and other Agri commodities handling/ conditions.

6. Knowledge in warehouse management.

7. Knowledge of GAFTA / INCOTERMS etc.

OTHER REQUIREMENT

1. Fluency in both written and spoken English.

2. Computer proficiency Analytical tools, MS Office (word/ excel/ Power Point etc.)

3. Strong communication skills/ soft skills.

4. Good working attitude, positive approach.

5. Flexible and adaptive to changing conditions in the business/ markets/ industry.

6. Have ability to work with the team.

7. Effective decision making and problem solving skills
