Head - Engineering - Startup

The Responsibilities of the Head of Engineering include :

- Working with the CTO to define best practices for the development & design of technically robust, flexible and scalable solutions.

- Lead all aspects of technology, through development and deployment of applications.

- Develop technical and product vision & develop roadmaps for system and product growth, and then ensure timely execution and quality delivery.

- Proactively identify architectural weaknesses and recommending appropriate solutions along with team managers

- Mentor and guide a team of top notch full stack engineers across levels to ensure software engineering lifecycle best practices are followed.

- Hands-on management with deep-dive into the details of Software design, implementation and debugging, Software quality and Configuration Management.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- 15+ years of work experience in managing engineering teams and project delivery preferably in a startup environment.

- Strong experience in Android and iOS app development practices.

- Strong hands on experience in at least one object oriented language (C++/Java) and one dynamic scripting language (e.g. Ruby, Python, PHP) is a must.

- Sound understanding of web technologies (e.g. Javascript, HTML5, CSS3) and strong command over databases.

- Strong grasp of full stack networking, scalable web back-end, and all genres of platforms technologies

- Strong in product-engineering, data science, object-oriented programming, software architecture, product and project management

- Thorough Knowledge of web and mobile based technologies and no hesitation in coding hands on.

- Experience in integrating various social media platforms and APIs from different products.

- Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.

- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate upwards and downwards.
