We are having urgent opening with our esteem client. Our client is a US$600 million business conglomerate with operations in Minerals, Shipping, Construction Materials and Industrial Chemicals in India and abroad. They are is setting up a green field Marine Chemicals project at Hajipir in Kutch district of Gujarat with an investment outlay in excess of Rs.1,200 crores in the Phase 1 of the project. The project is first of its kind in India with a innovative technology. The project site consists of chemicals plants to manufacture Liquid Bromine, Sulphate of Potash (SOP) and Industrial Salts with Captive Power Plant (coal based) and Desalination Plant.

Project - National Importance: The project has national significance to the country, since the current requirement of SOP is completely met through imports.

Position: Head - Engineering.

Location: Hajipir - Kutch district.

Role Purpose: Accountable for Operations and Maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Civil functions at the factory site including a Power Plant and Utilities. Also provide Engineering support for debottlenecking opportunities to increase production and champion energy conservation results.

Reporting Relationship: Head - Factory

Desired Profile:

- Mechanical Engineer with minimum 22 to 30 years experience in Chemical Manufacturing Industry. Additional qualification of BOE is preferred.

- Prior experience in leading Heads of Departments in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Civil functions, preferred.

- Meet maintenance financial objectives - By forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions with cost effectiveness.

- Achieves maintenance operational objectives - By contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans; productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems; completing audits, determining system improvements; implementing change.

- Preventive, Predictive, condition based maintenance.

- Breakdown and outage maintenance.

- Asset lifecycle management.

- Debottlenecking ideas.

- Housekeeping.

- Energy management and energy conservation.

- Champion best practices for continuous improvements in engineering services.

- Well versed in processes and procedures involved in Safety, Quality and Environmental aspects of engineering functions.

- Familiar with contracts for Annual Maintenance, equipment purchase and service.

- Well versed in statutory compliance of engineering services.

Site Commuting:

- The plant is located at Hajipir in Kutch district. The nearest village is "Nakhatrana", which is 70 kilometres from plant site. Daily commuting i.e. Nakhatrana – Hajipir – Nakhatrana is 70+70 Kilometres, 75 +75 minutes commuting time.

- Education and Medical facilities are basic in nature at Nakhatrana, considering it is a remote village
