A Leading Hospitality & Food Service Company is Hiring:

Job Title: Head – Employee Relations

Reports To: Vice President – Human Resources

Work Location: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure a high level of understanding and compliance with existing and proposed legislation for HR policy at regional levels

- Liaise with the different trade unions present in the region & maintain an optimal relationship with them

- Manage the process of all new employee contracts within the region for both contractual and regular positions for sites and office employees

- Interact with clients and ensure full compliance and utilisation of resources

- Establish a strategic relationship with senior management, operations and support departments to ensure effective management of HR advice and support in recruitment, training, performance management and career & succession planning

- Liase with the Government authorities on compliances and labour issues

- Develop and maintain a network of HR contacts with HR professionals, placement agencies, hotel management, catering, engineering and legal advisory bodies to ensure that HR knowledge is current and updated

- Analyse trends and data to ensure operationally sound and effective human resource systems & industrial relations

- Maintain projects within the approved budget and established timeframe

- Promote Diversity and Equal Employment Opportunity

- Promote, implement and assist in the coordination of Company's existing and proposed reward and benefit programs and organise welfare programs

- Ensure that the operations team in the region are provided with IR advice as and when required

- Oversee & support the management of the staffing function in the region in line with the national strategy and ensure it operates to budget

- Market Company via industry networks to promote employment opportunities

- Coordinate with the HR team effectively

- Ensure a satisfactory level of education to all Functional, Operational & HR Managers on their role in the area of Employee Relations

- Establish continual enhanced levels of implementation of the existing Employee Relations interventions like DOST, Grievance Management, Staff Welfare, etc.

- Coordinate & assist the Region HR teams in effective implementation of the above

- Study the efficacy of the existing Employee Relations interventions & suggest progressive modifications so as to enrich the outcome of each of the intervention

- Interact with clients and ensure good understanding of the expectations so as to synchronise the interventions & have Site specific Action Plans for Key Clients / Large Accounts in every region and also for IR sensitive accounts.

- Establish KPI based performance measurement mechanism; conduct reviews & report status on a monthly basis
