Head - EHS - API Manufacturing

A leading speciality chemical and intermediates manufacturing company is looking for a seasoned professional to head the EHS function for its Unit near Mumbai.

This is a leadership role, working closely with Corporate EHS Head for India.

Would be assisted by a team of 15, handling various functions in the EHS domain - safety, waste management, environment, fire & accident prevention, etc.

The incumbent would lead

- The safety function - Both behavioral and process safety

- Ensure zero liquid discharge /work towards it for the effluent treatment units.

- Liaison with external authorities and internal stake holders to ensure effective, compliant and smooth operations of the unit.

Applicant profile -

- Min -15 years of exp . Experience in heading EHS in an API/ Formulations manufacturing company.

- Experience of environmental operations involving ZLD of > 500 KLD and hazardous waste handling

- Sound experience in process safety, operational safety, behavioral safety.

- Diploma in Safety from recognized institute

- Experience of OHSAS, ISO-14001, Responsible care or Dow zones sustainability, British safety council certification .

- Must have hands on experience in liaison with statutory authorities like PCB, PESO, Director of factories etc.
