CA with 20 to 25 years of experience working in a large company with operations in multiple geographies both in India and Overseas

Age:Around 45-50 years

Key Responsibilities include: - Advising the business on statutory compliances relating to withholding taxes -

Co-ordination in ensuring tax compliance on matters related to advance tax computation and tax audits within given time frames.

Analysing and adopting positions in relation to cross-border transactions from International tax (DTAA) and transfer pricing perspective.

Responsible for Indirect Taxes advisory relating to Manufacturing, project and services business and construction contracts covering central excise, customs, service tax, VAT / CST, Octroi / LBT/Entry tax and other taxes.

Responsible to co-ordinate / handle various notices, audits, assessments & litigation of the Company & the Group Desired Competencies:

The candidate should possess: - Strong domain expertise in the area of both Direct and Indirect taxation - Hands on experience in handling taxation matters both at tax planning level and in assessment / appeal levels - The stature to represent taxation related issues to policy makers, Government, Revenue authorities and industry forums.

A good network in the industry including consultants and lawyers with respect to taxation matters. - Experience in leading a team of tax professionals in both Direct and Indirect taxation areas. - Adequate exposure to broad international taxation issues like transfer pricing, withholding taxes, double taxation avoidance treaties etc.

Familiarity with works contract tax and such issues relating to Engineering and Construction industry. The candidate should be presentable, mature and articulate. The person should have leadership capabilities and good people skills.

The person should possess visualization and persuasion skills. The person should be oriented towards sound processes and strict tax compliance. The person should have good interpretation abilities.
