Head - Direct Sourcing - International Water Solutions

- Identify and develop action plans for direct sourcing in support of the overall procurement strategy

- Oversee entire direct sourcing process including

- Identifying the supplier and maintaining strategic relationship with them, getting the supplier on board, qualifying the product, placing the purchase order, negotiating the price, negotiating contract with supplier, ensuring the supplier produces and supplies the material in line with quality standards set by Quality Department and deliver to plant

- Independently negotiate, manage and develop supplier relationships, to ensure security of supply, supplier performance and innovation

- Use benchmarking to demonstrate position in the marketplace

- Foresee unfavourable circumstances like raw material shortage, raw material cost increase, pandemic conditions etc. through market insights and data analysis and ensure business continuity plan is in place for the same

- Create and maintain detailed financial reporting on all activities including order management, logistics and shipping

- Identify, initiate and lead sourcing optimization projects (cost reduction, agility improvement, sustainability improvement, supply securitization) through negotiation and new project execution to meet annual goals

- Commodity sourcing (not buying alone) experience

- Experience with vendor development, evaluation, contracts and procurement for all raw materials

- Industry agnostic as long as experience of actual sourcing involved so ex Marico/Colgate/Britannia Ok - not Levers as likely to be more purchasing than sourcing as sourcing is global in nature .

- Graduate with a PG degree / diploma in SCM (Supply Chain Management) or an MBA (master's in business administration)

- 10+ years of experience working in the manufacturing industry

- Note: Interim Assignment for 6 - 12 months
