Role overview:

- The Head, Digital Marketing role will report in to CMO and assume all execution and strategic responsibility for managing digital and social marketing channels. Apart from Head- Digital Marketing, Head of Strategic Brand Management and Head of Marketing Operations will also be reporting in to CMO.

- We are looking for an experienced Head of Digital Marketing to direct and oversee our Marketing department, ensuring that all activities support the strategic, long-term goals of our brands.

- This position is responsible for all aspects of performance marketing, content, social media, SEO, marketing technology, analytics and other aspects of digital marketing. It will involve working collaboratively with other departmental leaders and staff (including Product Planning, Sales, R&D and internal Marketing stakeholders) to manage and deliver marketing and broader company initiatives.

- The candidate needs to have a proven track record of leading teams to achieve digital marketing success. Using classic digital marketing strategies for business growth, the role holder will be expected to demonstrate strategic thinking to lead the company in its next stage of growth.

- In addition, it is expected that a candidate also has experience of managing multiple end-to-end marketing campaigns activities typical of a modern and dynamic marketing team. The role holder should be able to apply 360 degree marketing techniques holistically and assimilate digital and social marketing to reach desired objectives. The role holder will be expected to have had significant exposure to acquisition marketing, awareness building, engagement, CRO techniques amongst others.

Responsibilities:

- Develop, own and lead customer acquisition strategy, planning and execution

- Understand drivers for profitable digital acquisition of new customers

- Create the marketing strategy and plan flawless execution

- Manage agencies and marketing suppliers

- Develop annual and quarterly forecasting and budgeting

- Develop reporting of management information

- Introduce new techniques and channels where required to increase awareness, traffic, conversion, and ROI

- Nurture and manage the lead funnel, from generation of leads from multiple channels through call center operation to conversion

- Establish a culture of campaign evaluation, learning and optimization

- Create and lead the next wave of growth through expansion of content

- Set up internal content creation team

- Set up systems for enhancing brand salience through collaboration with branding team

- Set up digital content distribution channels to send unified brand messaging through cohesive campaigns that span multiple channels

- Develop awareness, engagement and execution strategy

- Understand the drivers of engaged customers of our brands and develop word of mouth campaigns for customer acquisition

- Drive engagement strategies through email, whatsapp and other tools

- Drive personalization strategies to increase website engagement

- Develop and implement strategy for customer engagement and organic reach

- Develop organizational capability to manage member acquisition, content creation and engagement

- Build the digital marketing team

- Select and manage performance of agencies, where required

- Train, mentor and manage the team

- Develop a process to set goals, conduct quarterly reviews and align individual goals with business priorities

- Set up systems and processes to enhance team efficiency

KPIs:

- Primary KPIs: Revenue and ROI, Leads (new email subscribers, phone contacts)

- Secondary KPIs: Conversion rate (with Sales team), Sessions, Social reach and engagement

- Timely deliverability of reports

- Strategy oriented digital marketing plans

Skills & Experience:

- Proven leadership experience in a senior digital marketing role, ideally 10 - 15 years' experience

- Background in Digital Marketing for ecommerce or experience in reputed marketing agencies would be preferred

- Experience of managing teams that have worked on Google PPC, SEO tools and techniques, social media, email platforms, CRO techniques etc.

- Preferably from a consumer marketing background, with an entrepreneurial bent of mind

- Can demonstrate cutting edge knowledge of tools and techniques in current digital marketing

- Has an understanding of content management for e-commerce

- Has demonstrated ability to develop and lead a team of 10-20 people and is comfortable working in a fast paced, unstructured environment

- Is analytical and can understand and interpret numerical information and data patterns

- Understands and has worked with Google Analytics

- Possesses excellent communication skills and negotiation skills

- Ideally an MBA from a premier B-school

- Entrepreneurial experience, and/or delivering multi-client projects for B2C clients across performance marketing, SEO and social media marketing is preferred
