Head - Design - Startup

Company: A start-up which is an expert-led learning platform for creative arts, sports & fitness and hobbies.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage productivity of the design team and to continuously improve their capabilities.

- Influencing design-led thinking across the business.

- Set design requirements based on information from internal teams and user research.

- Deliver designs from low-fidelity all the way to high fidelity.

- Excellent understanding of UX design principles.

- Strategize, develop, and extend the visual design systems and pattern libraries by coming up with new and innovative solutions which suit the Frontrow brand.

- Analyze how a new product satisfies market needs and consumer preferences.

- Stay up to date on current industry trends and market conditions.

- Be a strong partner to your Product, Engineering, Research, Data and Business peers.

- Effectively mentor and inspire a team of designers. Help the team in raising the bar, resolving blockers, prioritising and breaking down complex projects into simpler tasks.

- Present product design ideas to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

- Coordinate with other functions to ensure consistent and accurate communication.
