Head Data Management


Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :


- Selects, recruits, develops, manages, motivates, coaches, and appraises the performance of direct reports to ensure high quality performance across his/her Data Management Group

- Drive productivity and efficiency measures to meet strategic imperatives and productivity targets. Actively ensures that metrics for teams' performance are in place and being met or exceeded. Takes appropriate action when needed to drive corrective measures.

- Represent Financial Data Management regarding requirements, selection, and evaluation of computer systems (hardware & software) that relate to Data Management activities

- As a member of the Data Management Leadership Team is fully involved in all aspects of Data Management Operations and helps develop future strategies and inputs on processes.

- Contributes to the further development of the Data Management organization with a focus on continuous improvement by ensuring data management innovations, fostering data management solutions and ensuring their efficient implementation and knowledge sharing. Acts as an enterprise leader.

- Understands the needs and guidelines of the regulators, ensures that group is always audit ready

- Ensures teams compliance with time tracking tool to further evaluate business needs regarding capacity forecasting and increasing productivity

- Builds and establishes a strong team spirit and creates a team founded on technical ability, excellence in performance.

- Highlight the need for training programs and support the establishment of these (technical, business and soft skills) for Data Management team members and ensure staff training is conducted and properly documented

- Leads and supports special projects and initiatives to drive functional excellence

Education & Experience - Minimum Requirements :

- BS/BE/MS or equivalent experience in mathematics, statistics, computer science, Finance or related fields.

- Proven leadership, collaboration, and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to successfully manage simultaneous deliverables and meet deadlines

- Excellent understanding of Banking /Insurance & Mutual Fund Market

- Must be able to anticipate challenges and risks and proactively suggest/implement solutions. Ability to work under pressure demonstrating agility through effective and innovative team leadership

- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to operate effectively in a global environment. Ability to influence and communicate across functions and to external stakeholders

- Strong expertise on Oracle DB, Open Source DBs, and noSQL DBs

- Prior experience in managing large scale databases (<300 TB)

- Experience in Data Warehousing and Analytics

- Ideally 18+ years' experience in Financials Industry with at least 10 years & in as Leader in Data Management
