Job Description: - Candidate will set up the Customs Brokerage department for the firm. - Responsible for managing all aspects of the Customs Brokerage Department: carry out customs entry and perform good customer service. - Will have to set up the operations and compliance teams as the first priority. - Centralize the shipping process for the firm. - Develop and maintain both new and existing customer relationships, promoting the company's services. - Daily follow-up on documentation discrepancy issues which requires the ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers and foreign origins. - Maintenance of customs clearance process &amp; trucking in time to achieve the growth and the profit objectives of the company. - Manage and offer advice on custom legislation where necessary. Candidate Profile; &nbsp;Years of experience: At least 15 years post qualification. - Rule 6/8 certification is desirable but not mandatory if the candidate meets all the requisites for the role. - Should have hands-on knowledge of airports and sea port regulations. - Must have experience in handling a P/L role (sales, operations, regulations, compliance, consulting). - Should have handled a Pan India role. - Must be well versed in handling ocean freight goods and all its regulations.
