Head - Credit Ratings - BFSI (8-12 yrs)

We have been retained by our client, a reputed private sector bank to identify a Head - Credit Ratings to be based at Mumbai.

Job Purpose:

- Monitor and manage the TAT by proper training of the people in credit and innovation of processes to help business operate and coordinate with various functions at a smooth level

- Manage client relationships and liaise with higher management to understand their rating needs and timely delivery of service

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse large and medium companies across geographies, prepare detailed credit notes, assess the financial performance of the companies and analyse credit worthiness of the client

- Analyse business model, identify strengths, weaknesses, risks, and understanding the revenue models and the corporate structure of the business

- Identify key risks and mitigants based on credit risk analysis of borrowers entailing business and management risk analysis along with analysis of financial statements, market information, credit reports etc.

- Develop detailed financial models considering the nature of the industry and industry drivers

- Prepare credit reports including investment/rating recommendations, business and financial research, country and industry analysis, sensitivity analysis, peer analysis and covenant analysis

- Manage the daily MIS reports generated, responding to the deviations in a timely manner

- Manage various databases including updating and preparing pricing sheets, track bond issuances, compare yields and spreads as well as relative valuation charts of the bonds

- Prepare credit rating presentations to the Rating Committee Management of the team

- Analyse financial statements, identification of risks, suggesting mitigants and strengthening the quality of the assets by stipulating appropriate covenants/ additional security, conducting peer group and industry analysis

- Planning, organising and controlling the KRAs of the individual team members

- Responsible for the rating movements in portfolio, maintaining client relationships, team building and training

- Assessing the credit quality of corporates based on management evaluation, industry risks, business risks, comprehensive financial modelling including demand estimation, cash flow analysis, scenario analysis and ratio analysis on a continuous basis

- Summarizing and analysing data and presenting to Rating Committee for credit ratings of entities and its debt instruments

Candidate Profile:

- Candidates should be CA or MBA (Finance) from a reputed University / Institution with 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in Credit Rating
