- Responsible to develop and maintain robust and effective credit and underwriting policies and procedures at the Group level.
- Responsible for development of policies for credit risks wrt lending, collection and provisioning.
- Provide oversight of all lending activities including credit evaluation, documentation, loan agreement creation, reporting and analytics,
- Develop and implement appropriate credit scoring models.
- Set up a strong organisation for all credit related areas at the corporate and branch level. provide leadership, motivation and encouragement to the team
- Responsible to develop and maintain operational policies and procedures across the organisation
- Responsible for high quality, cost effective and integrated operations throughout the organisation
- Oversee and enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery
- Responsible for the attainment of long and short term operational goals
- Overall responsible for loan administration and monitoring (document processing and disbursement, repayment scheduling), collection and recovery
- Responsible for branch network and operations, documents processing and management
- Responsible for customer servicing through grievance redressal and resolving customers- queries
- Coordinate/ interface with Head of Sales & Marketing, CFO and Head of Technology
- Implementation of proper internal monitoring processes in his/her area of command
- Ensure good financial discipline as Head of Credit & Ops
- Setting challenging objectives and performance expectations from his team members and doing periodic performance appraisal. Set priorities and assure execution of commitments.
- Develop and train the subordinate staff in his/her functional areas, whenever needed
- Be knowledgeable on relevant legal requirement and procedures. Monitor overall compliances and keep track of changes in this area.
- Any other task assigned by the CMD
E. Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Minimum 10 years of management experience in an NBFC/ Bank
- Preferably working in an auto finance company
- High Computer literacy
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to details
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lead, supervise and train staff including organising, prioritising and scheduling work assignments
- Good stress management skills
- Team spirit (able to be part of a team and team leader as well)
- Ability to represent the company to external agencies
